SBU detains cadet who was spying for FSB and preparing a missile attack on his own university

The Security Service of Ukraine has detained a cadet of one of the leading military institutes who was preparing to adjust a missile strike on the facilities of his educational institution on the instructions of the Federal Security Service of Russia. This was reported by the SBU press service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to the investigation, the cadet got in touch with FSB representatives via Telegram channels in search of “easy money.” As part of his cooperation with the Russian special service, he passed on the coordinates of educational buildings, barracks, training grounds and facilities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, where cadets were trained.
While on the ground, he also took covert georeferenced photographs of strategically important objects. In addition, the traitor compiled detailed “reports” for the Russian supervisor with schedules of the cadets’ stay at different locations.
The SBU cyber specialists documented the agent’s activities and detained him directly on the territory of the educational institution.
He was served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – high treason committed under martial law. The suspect is currently in custody without the possibility of bail. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
