A series of explosions in Donetsk: a strike on the headquarters of the Russian Armed Forces is reported

On the evening of Monday, June 30, a series of explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Donetsk. According to local sources and media, the city was hit by a rocket attack. This was reported by Novosti Donbassa and other monitoring resources, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to preliminary data, an air defense system was operating in the area of the city.
The occupation administration confirmed the shelling on the spot, but the exact number of damages is currently unknown.
Social media and pro-Russian publics posted information about an “arrival” near the metallurgical plant, as well as about the possible damage to the headquarters of the 8th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation.
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, confirmed the explosions on his Telegram channel:
“Jewelry work on Russians in the temporarily occupied Donetsk. It’s very fat there”.
He did not provide any details, but such rhetoric suggests a precision strike on an important concentration of Russian forces or equipment.
The released videos show fire and smoke, likely between Donetsk and Yasynuvata. Eyewitnesses also report an explosion near the building of the Donetsk Institute of Nonferrous Metals or a hit to a hotel.

In parallel with the events in Donetsk, a series of explosions and fires were also reported in Luhansk. According to monitoring channels, drones were heard operating there, followed by a fire at one of the oil depots.
