The Polish Sejm has adopted amendments to the draft law on assistance to Ukrainians. Next, the draft law will be voted on in the Senate and signed by President Nawrocki.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".
The deputies propose to extend temporary protection for Ukrainians until March 4, 2026, but also introduce new restrictions. For example, 800 payments for foreigners may be linked to the obligation of employment for at least one parent, as well as the obligation to study at a Polish school for children.
At the same time, the Sejm rejected amendments to establish liability for propaganda of “Bandera” and to extend the period of continuous residence in the country from 3 to 10 years as a requirement for obtaining Polish citizenship.
