More than 20 more banks supported the reduction of limits on money transfers

Another 23 banks and two financial institutions have joined the memorandum, which provides for limiting limits on card transfers and strengthening financial monitoring. This was reported by the press service of the Association of Ukrainian Banks, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The day before, representatives of financial institutions held a meeting during which they emphasized the need to combine the efforts of the banking sector to effectively combat financial crimes.

During the meeting, the participants emphasized the importance of self-regulation of the banking sector, stressing that “the memorandum is an effective tool for establishing common standards of transparency and responsibility.”

Last week, Ukraine’s largest banks signed a memorandum that provides for tighter financial monitoring and new restrictions on card transfers.

Starting from February 1, 2025, all customers who do not have confirmed sources of income will be subject to a limit of UAH 150 thousand per month on card transfers. From June 1, this limit will be reduced to UAH 100 thousand.
