Works created exclusively by generative artificial intelligence cannot claim copyright. This was stated in an interview with the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian" youTube channel, Lyubov Maydanyk, deputy director of the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovations (UKRNOVI), said.

According to her, a vivid example is a book with illustrations created by AI.

For example, a book is written by a person, and its illustrations are generated by artificial intelligence. The writer has copyright to the text, but not to the illustrations,” Maidanyk explained.

She added that AI affects copyrighted content. However, this impact is temporary. The value of human content remains high, Maidanik explained.

There is a threat, but it is temporary. Over time, content created only by humans will become even more valuable, she said.
