Sweden allocates €63.8 million in additional aid for Ukraine’s energy sector

The Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) has transferred 63.82 million euros to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Now the total amount of SIDA’s contributions to the Fund is 203.08 million euros. An important component of these funds is a tranche of 44.68 million euros allocated to the Nuclear Safety Trust Account.
Where the funds were spent
Thanks to Swedish financial assistance, equipment was purchased for a project to develop distributed generation in one of the most energy-deficient regions of Ukraine.
SIDA funds also helped to purchase important equipment for NPC Ukrenergo and distribution system operators in Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Chernihiv regions.
A day earlier, Germany made a record one-time contribution of EUR 160.11 million to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine.
