President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was not satisfied with the reports of the Minister of Health and the Minister of Social Policy on the situation with the MSEC scandals. The head of state said this during his evening address, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Zelenskyy held a meeting of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) to discuss numerous violations in the system of the Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC), which deals with disability determination.
According to the data presented at the meeting, hundreds of cases of fake disabilities issued to officials at various levels, including customs officers, tax authorities, the Pension Fund and local administrations, have been identified.
Zelenskyy stressed that this situation is unacceptable and called for a thorough and prompt investigation of all cases.
The Head of State stressed that Ukraine must take personal responsibility and make personnel decisions in connection with the situation with the MSEK scandals. In particular, a full audit of pensions and other accruals for all officials who have arranged disabilities will now take place.
The NSDC meeting included reports from the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, and Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko on the progress of inspections and investigations.
However, Zelenskyy was dissatisfied with the speeches of Health Minister Viktor Liashko and Social Policy Minister Oksana Zholnovych, as their reports were “very unconvincing”.
“Unfortunately, the reports of the Minister of Health of Ukraine and the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine were very unconvincing. Separately, we need to go through all the horizons of local authorities,” Zelensky said.
It should be noted that in Ukraine, all medical and social commissions will cease to function by 31 December 2024. This became possible because the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy put into effect the relevant decision of the National Security and Defence Council.
