How much electricity was generated by NPPs in 2025: “Energoatom reported

NNEGC Energoatom fully fulfilled its electricity production plan for 2025 by 100.8%. The expected electricity production as of the end of December amounted to 54.1 billion kWh.
This was reported by the company’s press service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
It is noted that such indicators were achieved by reducing the duration of repair work and the quality and efficiency of the repair campaign.
“The priority for Energoatom remains not only stable electricity production, but also an increase in the rated capacity of power units,” the company emphasizes.
They added that despite the constant shelling of the domestic energy infrastructure, nuclear engineers are making every effort to ensure the stable operation of nuclear power plants.
In addition, Energoatom paid UAH 168.54 billion in January-December 2025 to support the availability of electricity to the population under the mechanism of assigning special obligations.
This is UAH 15 billion more than a year earlier. In 2024, Energoatom paid UAH 153.18 billion (including VAT) for PSO services.
Thanks to these funds, the state was able to keep the electricity tariff for millions of Ukrainian families below the market level.
