The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has published the salaries of top government officials for April. As it turned out, it was not the Prime Minister who earned the most, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Top government officials

Four officials at once received exactly the same salary of UAH 77,404.77. These are Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk, Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, and Vice Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.

The First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko received UAH 72,207.39, 11,000 of which were sick pay.

The Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Oksana Stefanishyna, earned UAH 80,842.68.

According to the government, Cabinet of Ministers Minister Oleh Nemchinov received UAH 72,196.42 after taxes of UAH 34,888.41. However, in further detailed calculations, the government says that his “accrued salary is UAH 178914.93”, and not about 107,000 as it turns out if you add up the cash and taxes. Therefore, the government’s calculations are likely to have been made in error, or they decided not to officially include the healthcare allowance, which in April amounted to UAH 84,350.04 for the minister.

State Secretary and K°

The State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleksandr Yarema received the highest salary of all government officials in April – UAH 110,128.90. He is one of the few in the current government who receives bonuses for rank and length of service. In April, Yarema even received an 18,000 hryvnia bonus for working with classified documents.

His first deputy, Kostyantyn Maryevych, has already earned much less and is on a par with other members of the Cabinet of Ministers – UAH 82,357.33. But his deputy, Oleh Voitovych, who also has a good seniority bonus, was rewarded much better – UAH 99,735.00. Other deputies received the following salaries: Pavel Polyansky – UAH 92,165.50, Igor Yaremenko – UAH 102,546.09, and Vladimir Fedorchuk – UAH 102,707.09.
