The ranking of countries with the highest salaries: where does Ukraine stand?
8 April 2024 14:38
Economists have named the countries with the best salaries in the world. Ukraine took 107th place in the ranking. This is reported by CEOWORLD magazine, Komersant ukrainskyi
reports.
Experts estimated the gross average monthly salary in dollar terms at the current exchange rate.
In total, the ranking includes salaries in 196 countries.
According to the publication, the highest salaries in the world are paid in finance, insurance and energy. Miners, IT workers and retailers also have good salaries. The lowest salaries, according to the study, are paid to employees in administrative support, hotel and restaurant business, and construction.
However, when comparing salaries in different countries, it is important to take inflation into account. In recent years, many countries have experienced high inflation rates, which can affect purchasing power. These inflation rates have been largely driven by the pandemic and related supply chain disruptions.
In addition, geopolitical risks, such as the Russia-Ukraine war, strategic competition between the United States and China, the conflict in the Middle East, geopolitical competition between India and China, and the economic slowdown in China, have exacerbated these problems by aggravating the energy crisis and supply delays. It is noted that the current conflict between Israel and Hamas can only worsen this situation.
