SkyUp launches flights from Chisinau to countries popular among Ukrainians

12 December 2024 01:22

Ukrainian airline SkyUp has announced the launch of regular flights from Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. The flights will be operated on the most popular European routes among Ukrainians. This is reported on the company’s website, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The first flights will begin in April 2025.

“The list of routes includes such countries as Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, and Cyprus. The first flights will start in April 2025, and tickets for these destinations will be available from December 11, 2024,” the statement said.

SkyUp added that although the Ukrainian sky remains closed to civil aviation, Ukrainians’ connection with the world is not interrupted. The need to travel to visit relatives, friends, for business, diplomatic or volunteer work, as well as to fulfill professional duties, in particular for journalists who continue to cover events in Ukraine, remains relevant.

“Taking into account these needs and requests, we have chosen Chisinau Airport as one of the closest international hubs to the Ukrainian border, which makes it a logistically convenient and reliable solution for organizing international routes. We strive to make traveling comfortable, modern and affordable for everyone, while maintaining high quality at a fair price,” the statement reads.
