Snow in the Carpathians and frost in Bukovyna: has winter really come to Ukraine?

The last two days were marked by real weather anomalies in Ukraine. For the first time in history, independent Ukraine celebrated its birthday on August 24 with snow, which fell in the Carpathians near Mount Pop Ivan.

And today, August 25, in the village of Verkhny Yalovets in Bukovina recorded a five-degree frost.

It would seem that winter has come to Ukraine, but forecaster Natalia Didenko reassures: soon the heat will return.

According to her, on Tuesday we will have to endure the cold. Especially residents of the capital.

“On Tuesday in Kiev – we start with the capital – will be the coldest day in the short term. august 26th during the day is expected to be only 16 degrees! Plus a strong wind and rain.”

– writes the weather forecaster on Facebook.

In general, tomorrow in Ukraine will be rainy: precipitation is expected in the north, north-west, as well as in places in Poltava, Cherkassy and Kropyvnytskyi with districts. In the rest of Ukraine – without precipitation.

It will also be cold.

“The night is cold, you have already felt it – plaids, or even blankets and pajamas solid in bunnies or flowers, is expected 7 12, in the south up to 14 degrees, in the Carpathians only 4 8 degrees. During the day Tuesday in the north 14 18 degrees, in the south 23 27 degrees, in the rest of Ukraine 18 22 degrees. And another important detail – gusty wind of western origin”,

– warns the expert.

However, Didenko claims that already from Wednesday we are waiting for warming.

“Further, in a week, will begin to return heat to Ukraine….. The coming weekend will also be predominantly hot and sunny, have a summer vacation before the new season, except that in the west will appear rain and lower air temperature”,

– assured Natalia Didenko.
