On Monday, January 19, the Falcon 9 launch vehicle successfully launched a new batch of 29 mini-satellites into orbit to replenish the orbital constellation of the Starlink global internet coverage network.
This was reported on social media by the American developer SpaceX, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to its information, the launch was carried out from the 40th launch complex of the US Space Force base at Cape Canaveral in Florida. The satellites separated from the second stage of the rocket about an hour after launch and entered the designated orbit.
Since May 2019, SpaceX has launched more than 10,500 satellites as part of the Starlink project. Some of them have failed or left orbit, while more than 9,100 satellites remain in orbit and are operational. SpaceX currently has permission to launch 12,000 satellites and plans to deploy more than 30,000 devices to provide high-speed internet to the entire world. The total investment in this project is estimated at approximately $10 billion.
