President appointed Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: what is known about Volodymyr Karpenko

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed a new commander of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is Brigadier General Volodymyr Karpenko. This was reported by Kommersant Ukrainian
with reference to the Presidential Office.
“To appoint Volodymyr Karpenko as the Commander of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,”
– reads Decree 138/2024.
The previous decree No. 137/2024 dismissed Oleh Hulyak from this position.
It should be noted that after the appointment of Oleksandr Syrskyi as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Hulyak remained in the new military leadership team for some time.
What is known about Volodymyr Karpenko
Since 2021, Volodymyr Karpenko has been the Logistics Commander of the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, i.e. he was a member of the staff of Oleksandr Syrskyi, the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He holds the rank of brigadier general.
In 2022, he was awarded the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, first and second class.
