Enemy strikes at power facility in Kirovohrad region: fire breaks out

On the night of 2 April, Russians attacked some regions of Ukraine with drones. A hit was recorded on an energy facility in the Kirovohrad region. This was reported by the Defence Forces of southern Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi 
reports.
It is noted that at night, the enemy once again sent kamikaze drones of the Shahed-131/136 type from the south. This time, the enemy targeted the energy infrastructure of Dnipro and Kirovohrad regions.
“Our air defence units accurately destroyed 3 drones over the south of Dnipropetrovska oblast, while the rest were intercepted by our colleagues. However, an energy infrastructure facility was damaged in Kirovohrad region during the attack,”
– the statement said.
A fire broke out and was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
No people were injured.
The consequences of the damage are being investigated.
The head of theDnipro Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, said that overnight, air defence forces destroyed 9 shaheds over the region – in Dnipro and Dniprovsky, Nikopolsky, Pavlohradsky, Sinelnikovsky, and Kamyansky districts.
“The falling debris caused two fires in the regional centre, which were promptly extinguished. A two-storey building and a fire station were damaged,”
– lysak said.
He also said that the drones hit a power line in Kryvyi Rih.
“As a result of the evening attack on Kryvyi Rih, windows in three nine-storey buildings were smashed. A car was damaged. A high-voltage power line was hit,”
– he added.
A woman was injured in the attack. She was treated by medics.
“The injured woman was provided with the necessary medical assistance. She will be treated at home,”
– lysak said.
