The Ukrainian military attacked the large landing ship Konstantin Olshansky with a Neptune missile system. This was reported by Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, on Freedom, Komersant ukrainskyi
 reports.
Pletenchuk reminded that the Konstantin Olshansky is a Ukrainian warship that was captured by Russian troops 10 years ago, in 2014, during the annexation of Crimea.
“For nine years, it stood in the Sevastopol Bay, being dismantled for spare parts and plundered. And in the 10th year of the war, they realised that they were running out of large amphibious ships of this design, No. 775, and decided to restore it. Within a year, it was dry-docked and restored,”
– he said.
However, the purpose of these works was to falsify the information in order to report to the Moscow leadership that they had restored one of their allegedly destroyed amphibious assault ships.
“This ship was to be used against Ukraine, unfortunately. Therefore, it was decided to hit this unit with our Neptune. It was also hit. The damage is being clarified, and it definitely sustained damage. It is not combat ready now,”
– pletenchuk said.
Summing up, the speaker noted that the night of the previous day had the following results: four of our enemy’s ships (Yamal, Azov, Ivan Khurs and Konstantin Olshansky – ed) were actually disabled.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted the last strike on the targets in Crimea on 24 March. It targeted the 13th shipyard of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. The Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully hit the Russian large amphibious assault ships Yamal and Azov, a communications centre, and several infrastructure facilities of the Black Sea Fleet.
