Heat and thunderstorms: weather forecast for 20 August

Today, 20 August, most regions of Ukraine will experience high temperatures and dry weather. However, localised rains are possible in some areas. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
It is noted that on 20 August, in most regions, the maximum air temperature will be 30…35 °C, in some places 35…37 °C. In the western regions, it will be a little easier – 27… 32 °C.
A large part of Ukraine will be under a high atmospheric pressure field, so dry weather will prevail on 20 August.
However, in some places in Volyn, Rivne, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, and on Tuesday evening in Zhytomyr region, there is a chance of short-term rains with thunderstorms.
Weather in Kyiv
On 20 August, it will be very hot, dry and sunny in Kyiv. The temperature will rise to 33… 35 °C.
The forecaster also notes that the hot weather in Ukraine will continue in the near future. However, on 22 August, the heat is expected to ease in the west, north and Vinnytsia region.
At the same time, the south and east of Ukraine will continue to be in the 33…37 °C range.
