The government has allocated 718 million hryvnias to ensure transport links within the Odesa region and with Moldova. This is stated in a press release from the Ministry of Development, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 718 million hryvnias to ensure transport links with the southwestern part of the Odesa region and with Moldova.
According to the Ministry of Development, these decisions will make it possible to maintain uninterrupted logistics both within the region and to ensure international freight and passenger transport with Moldova and Romania.
“This is important given the enemy’s attempts to disrupt transport corridors, as well as attacks on bridges, railways, ports, and other logistics infrastructure,” the statement reads.
The decision makes it possible to provide alternative routes near the bridge in the town of Mayaki, which was damaged in late 2025 as a result of shelling by the Russian Federation.
“We are systematically strengthening alternative routes—both within the region and on international routes to Moldova and Romania. This concerns freight transport, the mobility of people, and the stable functioning of the economy,” noted Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.
The decision also calls for the construction of a bridge crossing at the “Yampil–Koseuts” border crossing point in Vinnytsia Oblast.
In addition, the decision provides for the construction of specific infrastructure solutions that will ensure the creation of a backup road connection and strengthen the resilience of transport and logistics links not only with Moldova but also toward the ports of the Danube region.
