Electricity consumption is growing: are blackouts possible?

Due to the heat wave, electricity consumption in Ukraine has increased, so Ukrenergo called on citizens to use electrical appliances sparingly. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the company’s post.
According to Ukrenergo, as of 9:30 am on Friday morning, electricity consumption was 6.9% higher than the previous day.
An additional factor in increasing the load on the power system was cloudy weather with rains in the western and northern regions, which reduced the efficiency of household solar power plants and led to increased consumption from the general grid.

The day before, energy consumption also increased. on July 24, the maximum daily consumption was recorded in the evening and exceeded the Wednesday figure by 1.7%.
“Ukrenergo reminds that the Ukrainian power system is still in the process of recovery after massive Russian missile and drone attacks. Emergency repair works at power facilities are ongoing.
Due to the current situation, the company asks Ukrainians to limit the use of powerful electrical appliances until 22:00 and consume electricity rationally.
Currently, Ukrenergo does not report any possible power outages. However, the company warns that the situation in the power system may change and advises citizens to follow the updates on the official websites and social media pages of the electricity distribution system operators.
