The case of ‘servant of the people’ Klochko, suspected of corruption, has been referred to court

The case of MP Andriy Klochko (Servant of the People party), who is suspected of illegal enrichment of UAH 11 million, has been referred to court. This was reported by [Kommersant] reports with reference to the NABU.
According to the investigation, in 2020-2021, Klochko acquired assets worth UAH 25 million, although the official income and savings of the MP and his relatives were no more than UAH 14 million.
In particular, these are 3 land plots in Kyiv region, 5 apartments in Kyiv, 2 non-residential premises, as well as Tesla and Mersedes-Benz cars.
The MP registered most of the property in the names of his relatives, but retained the right to dispose of it.
on 2 May 2024, he was served a notice of suspicion under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation was completed in June.
The crime was uncovered after the publication of journalistic investigations, in particular by the Bihus.Info team, and with the assistance of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.
