Ukraine remains in the “autumn” mode – without real winter frosts, but with some hints of cold weather. According to weather forecaster Natalia Golena in a commentary to "Komersant Ukrainian", the country will experience light nighttime frosts in the coming days.

“In the next 5 days, it will be 1-3 degrees below zero at night. Almost all over Ukraine, except for the seaside and Transcarpathia. The daytime temperature will range from 1 to, say, 6, and in the south and west of the country up to 8-10 degrees Celsius. We also do not expect precipitation in the next 3 days,” the forecaster said.

As Natalia Golenya emphasized, it is too early to make long-range forecasts for the New Year or Christmas, as the weather remains variable: after a slight warming around December 10, temperatures are expected to drop again and mild night frosts are expected to return across the country.

“This fluctuation will continue. On the 10th, there will be a slight increase in night temperatures again. And then by the next weekend, it will drop again and there may be mild frosts at night,” she said.

The forecaster emphasized that so far, winter is only gently reminding of itself.

“That’s why the situation is such that there is no real winter yet, only a few hints,” Natalia Golenya summarized.

Earlier, weather forecaster Natalia Didenko gave a weather forecast for the first day of winter.
