The United Arab Emirates has struck Iran for the first time since the start of the conflict in the Middle East. A water desalination plant was targeted.

According to the publication, in response to shelling from Iran, the UAE attacked an Iranian water desalination plant. At the same time, analysts believe that this is only a signal to Tehran, and the UAE will join the US and Israeli campaign only in the event of an escalation of Iranian attacks.
Since the beginning of the war, Iran has repeatedly launched missiles and drones at countries in the Persian Gulf, including the United Arab Emirates. Initially, the Iranians claimed that they had only attacked American bases, but there were also reports of missiles and drones hitting civilian targets.
In particular, the Israeli embassy building in Abu Dhabi was damaged, and two Israelis were slightly injured.
At the same time, in the UAE, which has established itself as the economic capital of the Persian Gulf, in addition to the threat to security, there is concern about damage to the image of the country, which is considered a favorite destination for many businessmen.
According to the INSS, Iran launched 941 drones, 189 ballistic missiles, and eight cruise missiles into the UAE last week.
Iran’s strikes on neighboring countries
Earlier, it was reported that in response to attacks by Israel and the US, Iran was launching large-scale attacks on a number of its neighboring countries.
Iran is launching its “retaliatory strikes” against almost all of its neighbors, with even distant Cyprus coming under fire. Iran has already launched more than 800 missiles and 2,000 drones.
Among Iran’s many neighbors, Armenia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan remain unattacked for now. However, the chaotic nature of Iran’s strikes offers no guarantee that these countries will not become new targets for Islamists.
At the same time, Tehran is deliberately escalating tensions even with countries that were skeptical of the American operation from the outset. Iran has already turned the Arab monarchies against it.
