“According to a White House official and a Ukrainian official, senior U.S. officials are expected to meet with high-ranking representatives of Ukraine, France, Germany and the United Kingdom on Saturday in Paris to discuss President Trump’s peace plan,” the report said.
According to Axios, Ukraine, Germany, France and the UK will be represented at the meeting by national security advisers, but it is unclear whether US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will attend.
The updated US peace plan to resolve the war in Ukraine consists of four documents. They include a 20-point agreement, security guarantees for Ukraine, a commitment by the US not to join NATO, and a separate US-Russian agreement. The plan also provides for limiting the size of the Armed Forces to 800,000 people, Ukraine’s accession to the EU by 2027, security guarantees for Kyiv, elections shortly after the signing of the agreement, and the restoration of Ukraine, among other things.
