Why Trump and Putin’s phone calls often last for hours

US President Donald Trump listens attentively to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s long-winded speeches during phone calls, which sometimes lasts for several hours.

However, the July 3 phone call lasted about an hour, much less than usual. White House sources say it was “cooler” than previous calls, with no open conflicts, but Trump ended it with a sense of confusion.
