In Ukraine, the calculation of subsidies for the heating season starts on 1 October. Olena Okhrimenko, Director of the Pension and Social Services Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, told what you need to know about this type of state aid, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The representative of the Pension Fund reminded that the housing subsidy is granted once a year – from 1 May, and its recalculation is automatic.
“And next month, recipients of housing subsidies will receive the recalculated amount of housing subsidies, given that the heating season starts on 15 October,” Okhrimenko said.
If a person has not received a subsidy before, they can apply for it. This can be done online, by mail or in person at the Pension Fund.
“If it is done at the Pension Fund office, our employee helps to draw up all the documents. Our employee draws up the application based on the data provided by the person, and then the person checks whether the services used in the household and household members were correctly indicated,” explained the director of the Pension and Social Services Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
If this is not possible, the Pension Fund body applies to the social protection body in the territorial community to draw up a survey report indicating the number of people who live and those who do not actually live in the household.
