First deaths in Kharkiv reported (photos, video)

During the the 1 September missile attack by the Russian Armed Forces on Kharkiv at least 5 people were killed. This was was reported interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, reports [Kommersant].

“The enemy targets civilian objects, civilians, children: 5 people have been killed, including a 14-year-old girl, at least 55 people have been injured as of this minute,” Klymenko wrote on his Telegram channel.

All operational services are working on the ground: rescuers, police, and psychologists of the State Emergency Service. An operational headquarters has been set up to receive statements from victims, a forensic laboratory is working, and the damaged houses have been taken under police guard. House-to-house visits are also being conducted to ensure that all victims are provided with assistance.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also reacted to the rocket attack on Kharkiv.

“Russia is terrorising Kharkiv again. Strikes on civilian infrastructure, just on the city. All the necessary forces of the world must be involved to stop this terror. This requires not extraordinary forces, but sufficient courage of leaders – the courage to give Ukraine everything it needs to defend itself,” Zelensky said.
