It became known how much one BES employee costs the state

One employee of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine costs the state an average of UAH 45-50 thousand per month. This was stated by BES Deputy Director Andriy Pashchuk in a YouTube interview with "Komersant Ukrainian".

“If we’re talking about a detective or an analyst, it’s an average of 45-50 thousand. This is a regular amount for a young specialist with 3-5 years of experience. Of course, if he has worked more, there is a corresponding gradation, and he receives more,” Pashchuk explained.

At the same time, he noted that such a salary is not competitive compared to other law enforcement agencies.

“Among law enforcement agencies, such as the SBI, NABU, it is not (not competitive – ed.). Theirs is higher. Much higher,” the BES deputy director emphasized.

As reported by [Kommersant], the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine has returned more than UAH 3 billion to the budget in six months as part of investigated criminal proceedings, while the state spends UAH 1.9 billion on the agency’s maintenance.
