Starting price of 1 hryvnia: four objects put up for privatisation

The State Property Fund of Ukraine has put up four properties for privatisation auctions with a starting price of UAH 1. This was announced by the head of the SPFU, Vitaly Koval, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"

“The State Property Fund of Ukraine has put up for auction the first four properties in Odesa and Zhytomyr regions with a starting price of UAH 1,” the statement said.

Thus, in Odesa, a non-residential building with an area of 25.8 sq m will be auctioned off at the auction, which is scheduled for 30 August . It is a former radio receiving centre for air traffic control built in 1975. The building is in need of current repairs.

Two other properties are offered for privatisation in the region: a 281.5 sq m administrative building in Reni and a 492 sq m two-storey administrative building in Balta.

Both auctions are scheduled for 11 September.

In addition, potential investors can compete for a 50.5 sq m non-residential property in Olevsk, Zhytomyr region. The auction will take place on 20 September.

According to Koval, the starting price for each property is UAH 1.

“This is a mechanism established by law for the period of martial law to determine the starting price of objects with no or zero book value. This symbolic price allows us to effectively start the privatisation process in the current environment,” Koval explained.

To participate in the auction, bidders must also pay a registration fee of UAH 1,420.
