The State Agrarian Register (DAR) is launching a grant program for agricultural enterprises aimed at developing aggregation models in the berry and vegetable growing sector. Under the program, enterprises can receive up to $150,000 for infrastructure development, product processing, and expanding cooperation with small farmers. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
It is noted that the program is being implemented by the Ministry of Economy and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with financial support from the European Union.
Agricultural producers from the Volyn, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernivtsi regions can apply to participate in the program.
“The development of aggregation models allows small producers to combine production volumes, improve quality, and enter markets more effectively. Such programs create new opportunities for cooperation between agricultural enterprises and small farmers, help develop post-harvest processing and processing infrastructure, and generate added value in Ukraine,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Denys Bashlyk.
Applications for participation in the program can be submitted from March 12 to April 17, 2026, through the State Agrarian Register. One of the conditions for participation is the availability of own investment contributions — from 30 to 60% of the project cost, depending on the category of the aggregator.
In addition to financial support, program participants will have access to technical assistance. FAO will provide expert advice, organize training, and offer recommendations on developing sustainable business models and effectively integrating small producers into value chains.
As reported, state grant support has contributed to the establishment or planned establishment of approximately 4,000 hectares of orchards and other perennial plantations in Ukraine. As part of the previous cycle of the grant program for aggregation models, which was piloted in 2025, aggregator enterprises in the berry and vegetable sector in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, and Chernivtsi regions received grant support totaling more than UAH 33 million. Thanks to these investments, enterprises were able to purchase low-temperature storage refrigeration units, equipment for processing berries and vegetables, sorting complexes, X-ray control systems, solar power plants, and transport equipment.
