In the Ternopil region, a daughter-in-law who cursed her mother-in-law with foul language was fined 170 UAH. This is stated in the ruling of the Kremenets District Court, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing Ternopilskie Pobedy.

According to the court, the daughter-in-law committed domestic violence of a psychological nature against her mother-in-law, which was expressed in the use of obscene and insulting words against her. She committed such actions systematically, which could harm the victim’s psychological health.

The woman did not appear at the court hearing, but this did not prevent the court from finding her guilty of violating Part 1 of Article 173-2 of the Code of Administrative Offences and imposing a fine of UAH 170. Thus, the court ruled that swearing at a family member is domestic violence.
