The Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal has postponed to June 30 the hearing of the case on the lawsuit filed by MP and fifth president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko against the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the ban on traveling abroad. This was reported by Suspilne, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

During the hearing on May 26, a government representative justified the ban by referring to the implementation of sanctions imposed on Poroshenko. The court also decided to include all the parties’ motions in the proceedings.

As a reminder, in December 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers canceled Petro Poroshenko’s travel permit to the United States and Poland, after which he filed a lawsuit demanding the repeal of a government decree restricting the right of MPs to travel abroad.

In May 2023, border guards had already denied Poroshenko’s travel, citing problems with the QR code in his permit. Only on the third attempt did he manage to cross the border with Poland.

on February 12, 2025, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to impose personal sanctions. Among the individuals subject to the restrictions are Ihor Kolomoisky, Hennadiy Boholyubov, Kostiantyn Zhevaho, Viktor Medvedchuk, and Petro Poroshenko. The corresponding decree No. 81/2025 was published on the President’s website.
