The total power of EcoFlow in Ukraine is comparable to that of a nuclear reactor, according to an expert.

As of the end of January, the current market for backup power sources in Ukraine is estimated at 1.6 GW based on the total cumulative capacity of charging stations installed in homes and businesses. EcoFlow accounts for 62% of this market.
This was reported to Delo.ua by Valery Yakovenko, co-founder of DroneUA, whose company is the official distributor of EcoFlow in Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The total simultaneous power that these systems can deliver to the grid exceeds 3 GW — almost as much as the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant produces.
For comparison, even in severe frosts at 10-15°C, Kyiv consumes about 2 GW, which is a whole gigawatt less than the potential capacity already available to owners of home and business charging stations.
What is popular
“During periods between peaks in demand, the most popular systems remain those with a capacity of 256-1000 Wh, aimed at the consumer segment and households. During blackouts, demand increases for more powerful 1000-2000 Wh solutions that provide backup power for the home,” explains Yakovenko.
What businesses choose
Businesses choose high-power energy-independent units— up to 90 kWh— often combining them with their own generators. According to him, such systems are primarily used to protect critical infrastructure, particularly in the IT sector, and to a lesser extent to organize workspaces.
