There will be more light: the government announces easing of blackouts from December 24

On December 21, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko instructed to redirect the released energy resource (up to 1 GW), obtained as a result of the revision of the list of critical infrastructure facilities, for the needs of the population.

Accordingly, starting from December 24, the power outage schedules will be revised downward for the population, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“The government has set a task for all those involved to ensure unconditional implementation of the decision to redirect the released energy resource (up to 1 GW), obtained as a result of revising the list of critical infrastructure facilities, for the needs of the population by December 24,” the statement said.

In addition, the government is also working to increase electricity imports, restore generation damaged by Russia’s attacks, and increase individual generation.
