Son of famous TV presenter Ihor Pelykh honoured for courage at the front

ivan Pelykh, the 22-year-old son of the famous Ukrainian TV presenter Igor Pelykh, who died in a car accident in 2008, received an award from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. The boy reported this on his Instagram page, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The photo shows that the award was signed by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov on 24 April. However, it was only now that the guy decided to share the news.
“It’s all very well, but I’d rather have a Glock, please,”
– Ivan Pelikh joked when commenting on his reward.

Ivan is the eldest son of TV presenter Igor Pelykh. Since 2000, he has worked for ICTV, and at the same time he became interested in producing, created popular nationwide entertainment projects “Galloping across Europe”, “Into Your Own Head” and “Labyrinth”, and later founded the studio “Horns and Hooves Production”.
In 2009, his life was cut short by a terrible accident in Kyiv. He is survived by his wife and three children – son Ivan and daughters Solomiya and Ustyna.

It is known that since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, Ivan joined the Kyiv City Terrorist Defence. Later, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the two years of the war, Ivan Pelykh took part in the battles in Lysychansk and in the Bakhmut direction.
Before the war in Ukraine, the guy was engaged in cinematography. He studied at the Karpenko-Kary University of Arts, specialising in directing.
