Forecasters warn of severe frosts

On Thursday, 18 April, it will be cloudy and rainy in Ukraine. In some places, forecasters predict thunderstorms. On 19 and 20 April, however, severe frosts on the soil surface are warned. This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre, Komersant ukrainskyi 
reports.
on 18 April, it will be cloudy in Ukraine. Except for the southeastern part, there will be moderate rains, in Vinnytsia, Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, during the day and in Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions – significant rains, in the central and Kharkiv regions there will be thunderstorms.
The wind is forecast to be mainly northerly (in the south and east of the country – southeasterly), 7-12 m/s, in the afternoon in the Carpathians, most of the central and eastern regions, in some places gusts up to 15-20 m/s.
The air temperature will be 7-12° in the west and north, 14-19° in the rest of the country, 22-27° in the south-east and east.
In the Carpathians, there will be sleet, with daytime temperatures of 0-5°C.
On the night of 19 April, in the western regions, there will be 0-5° frosts on the soil surface (hazard level I, yellow), and in Transcarpathia – severe frosts of 0-3°.
On the night of 20 April, in the western, northern and central regions, severe frosts of 0-3° (hazard level II, orange).
