This is the first platform where volunteers exchange insights and current issues in an open dialogue with business and look for solutions together. Among the guests are representatives of the most powerful Ukrainian charities and organisations that help civilians and the military.

Ukrainian volunteers are indomitable people who, despite the lack of resources, fatigue and other difficulties, continue to help everyone in need. Their tremendous work is often hidden behind reports of cars purchased, medicines delivered to the frontline or photos of evacuated animals.

In 2014, Nova Poshta launched Humanitarian Nova Poshta, a project that allows volunteers to deliver aid for free and spend the money saved on logistics on things that save lives. With the war still ongoing, the support of volunteers is very important. To thank them and give a new impetus to their work, we created the Varti podcast.

“We want to help volunteers find new opportunities, share knowledge and experience, and work together with businesses to solve current problems. This is not only recognition for those who work tirelessly for Ukraine’s victory, but also support for new ideas and projects that help society. They deserve to be known by as many people as possible,” says Olena Plakhova, director of reputation management at Nova Poshta and host of the podcast.

The project was launched with an episode featuring Taras Chmut, head of the Come Back Alive Foundation. In the conversation, Taras shared how volunteering has evolved over the 10 years of war, talked about the moments when even billions in the bank account do not matter, about cooperation with the military and unique Ukrainian developments that save lives. He also explained why transparent reporting is not a formality, but the key to the trust and success of any charitable organisation.

Future guests are volunteers in various fields: helping the military, children, internally displaced persons, animals, and owners of social enterprises. Among them: Ksenia Drahaniuk (Zemlyachky NGO), Lesia Litvinova (Svoi CF), Marichka Todorchuk (Club of Benefactors CF), Mykola Serha (Cultural Landing), Elina Svitolina (Svitolina Foundation), Zhenya Volnov (DrukArmy), Vladyslav Malashchenko (Good Bread From Good People) and others.

The Varti podcast is a continuation of the annual award that Nova Poshta gives to Ukrainian volunteers for their contribution to supporting society and the frontline.

The podcast is available for viewing and listening on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and will be released every Thursday. The first season will feature 12 episodes.
