The Internet reacted with memes to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statement that “Oleg Tatarov and Vasyl Malyuk killed Chechens in Ukraine,” "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

At a press conference, a journalist from Ukrayinska Pravda asked Zelensky about the effectiveness of his staff, in particular, the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, and his deputies, Oleh Tatarov and Rostyslav Shurma.

The president was outraged by the question, as he had already answered it at a non-public meeting with the media, which was held without a recording.

“The United States and everyone knows this: Oleg Tatarov and Vasyl Malyuk were killing Chechens in Ukraine, in Kyiv, while you were not here. Is it not enough to expel him so that he can be killed by the Russians? I have already said that this is non-public information, and I said this at our non-public meeting,” Zelensky said.

Ukrainians reacted with memes to Zelenskyy’s words.

The head of the Anti-Corruption Action Centre, Vitaliy Shabunin, posted several memes and at the same time criticised the press conference and Zelenskyy’s response.

The internet was mostly filled with joking reactions to the fact that, according to the president, Tatarov was among those who killed Chechens in the capital.
