Since the beginning of 2026, the State Tax Service has received more than 150 reports from Ukrainians about possible violations of the law via the TAX Control electronic service. Since the beginning of the year, businesses have already received UAH 1.6 million in fines due to reports from vigilant citizens, according to the State Tax Service, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

“Thanks to such reports, financial sanctions amounting to over UAH 1.6 million have already been imposed on individual violators,” the State Tax Service said.

According to the Tax Service’s statistics, citizens reported the following violations:

— failure to use cash registers/payment terminals, failure to issue fiscal receipts — 54% of the total number of reports;

— operating without state registration — 25%;

— other violations — 21%.

Most violations were reported in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, and Vinnytsia regions.

The State Tax Service emphasized that citizens have the opportunity to report violations of the law through the TAX Control electronic service.

“Such interaction helps to identify shadow activities and contributes to the formation of an honest business environment. All reports received are processed by the territorial bodies of the State Tax Service and used in the organization of tax control measures,” the Tax Service added.

Earlier it was reported that the Tax Service is actively working to de-shadow the restaurant business. In particular, during 2025, almost 400 cases of unofficial work in this area were detected, as well as numerous cases of discrepancies between official and actual salaries.
