Toyota to allocate $1 million for Trump’s inauguration

Toyota Motor of North America will donate $1 million to the inaugural events of US President-elect Donald Trump on January 20. This is reported by Reuters, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs

It is noted that Ford Motor and General Motors have also pledged to allocate the same amount. According to representatives of the Japanese company, Ford and General Motors will also provide cars for the celebration, but Toyota does not plan to do so.

Other donors to Trump’s inauguration include Jeff Bezos’ Amazon and Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook parent company Meta.

According to Reuters, Trump’s proposed tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada could affect many automakers in North America, including Toyota, which manufactures the Toyota Tacoma pickup truck in Mexico.

The Trump administration is also expected to consider reversing some of Joe Biden’s decisions related to electric vehicles and environmental emissions standards.
