Trump gave Iran 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz

22 March 07:08

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States will destroy Iran’s power plants if Tehran does not open the Strait of Hormuz within two days.

This was reported by [Komersant], citing his post on the social media platform Truth Social.

According to Trump, the country’s largest power plant will be the first to be targeted.

“If Iran does not fully open the Strait of Hormuz, without threat, within 48 hours from this moment, the United States of America will strike and destroy their numerous power plants, starting with the largest one,” the US president wrote.

It should be noted that about an hour earlier, Donald Trump stated that the U.S. had wiped Iran off the map and achieved its goals several weeks ahead of schedule.

“Yes, achieved, and several weeks ahead of schedule! Their leadership is destroyed, their navy and air force are in ruins, they have no defense, and they want to make a deal. I won’t!” the American leader wrote on social media.

The Strait of Hormuz

As a reminder, a few days ago, Donald Trump once again declared victory over Iran and emphasized that the United States does not need the Strait of Hormuz.

Although just yesterday, U.S. Commander Admiral Brad Cooper reported that the U.S. had destroyed Iran’s radar base and observation posts, which were used to track tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Now, he claims, shipping in the region will become safer.
