The Ukrainian side “has not heard anything” about the so-called air ceasefire allegedly agreed upon by US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to a comment by Dmytro Lytvyn, the communications adviser to the President of Ukraine , on X (Twitter).
Lytvyn left a comment under a post by The Economist journalist Oliver Carroll. The correspondent, citing sources, wrote that a preliminary agreement on an “air truce” was allegedly reached during the meeting between Trump and Putin before the trilateral meeting of the leaders.
“We believe that the sky will signal the preliminary results of these talks. Next week will be interesting,” Carroll’s source said.
According to Axios journalist Barack Ravid, Trump allegedly told Zelenskiy and NATO leaders that Putin does not want a truce and prefers a comprehensive agreement to end the war.
According to the journalist, Trump said: “I think a quick peace deal is better than a ceasefire.”
