US President Donald Trump has not ruled out holding talks with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin within ten days of the deadline to resolve the war in Ukraine.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing an interview with journalists by the head of state, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
One of the media representatives asked whether the head of state plans to hold talks with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin before the 10-day deadline.
“We’ll see what happens. We plan to have several meetings,” the American leader said.
In July, Donald Trump harshly criticized Putin for the massive shelling of Ukraine and gave the dictator 50 days to reach peace with Kyiv.
In case of refusal, he threatened to impose sanctions against countries that buy Russian oil and additional sanctions against Russia.
However, on July 29, Trump suddenly shortened the deadline to 10 days and set August 8 as a new “deadline” due to the lack of progress in the peace process.
The Kremlin declared its intention to continue the aggressive war and even threatened the United States with nuclear war.
on July 31, Trump announced that US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Vitkoff would visit Moscow.
