The United States and the European Union have agreed on a trade deal. This was announced by US President Donald Trump at a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Scotland, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to him, the EU will purchase $750 billion worth of energy from the United States and invest another $600 billion in the American economy.

Earlier, Bloomberg wrote that the European Union plans to impose a 30% duty on $117 billion worth of US goods if the deal with Washington does not take place and Trump imposes the promised duty.

According to the agency’s sources, if duties are imposed, American exports, including industrial goods such as Boeing airplanes, cars made in the United States and bourbon, will face a 30% fee.
