Trump: Putin wants to take over all of Ukraine

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin wants to take over the whole of Ukraine, but it will be difficult for him.

This was stated by US President Donald Trump, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing his interview with the Finnerty program.

According to Trump, the United States will impose sanctions on Russia, but Putin already knows how to circumvent and avoid them. But Trump is surprised that he had “good conversations with him, during which we could have ended this situation, but suddenly bombs started falling.”

“He’s obviously a tough nut, so nothing has changed in that regard… Three times he succeeded, and maybe he wants to try to take over everything (Ukraine – ed.). Three times he succeeded, and maybe he wants to try to take over everything. I think it will be very difficult for him to do that,” Trump said.

In July, Donald Trump sharply condemned the Kremlin’s actions over the massive shelling of Ukraine and gave Putin 50 days to reach peace. If the talks failed, he threatened sanctions against countries that buy Russian oil, as well as new restrictions against Russia itself.

However, on July 29, Trump unexpectedly shortened the deadline to 10 days and set a new “deadline” of August 8, citing a lack of progress.
