The two countries also agreed to deepen cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.

After Trump’s meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the White House said he announced deals that include Etihad Airways’ commitment to invest $14.5 billion in 28 Boeing 787 and 777x aircraft powered by GE Aerospace.

The U.S. Department of Commerce said the two countries also agreed to establish a “U.S.-UAE Partnership to Accelerate Artificial Intelligence,” and Trump and Sheikh Mohamed attended the opening of a new 5 GW artificial intelligence campus, which will be the largest outside the United States.

Sources said the deals will give the Gulf state increased access to advanced artificial intelligence chips from the United States after it previously faced restrictions due to Washington’s concerns that China could gain access to the technology.

“I have no doubt in my mind that our relationship is only going to get stronger and better,” Trump said at a meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

According to the White House newsletter, Trump secured $200 billion worth of new agreements between the US and the UAE and accelerated the conclusion of $1.4 trillion worth of previous commitments.
