U.S. President Donald Trump made a loud statement about the United States’ readiness for a nuclear conflict with Russia. This sounded like a response to the latest threats by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, who warned that the rhetoric of the American leader could lead to a direct clash between the two nuclear powers, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citing Clash Report

Trump publicly reacted to Medvedev’s statement, emphasizing:

“Medvedev talked about nuclear weapons, and when it comes to nuclear weapons, we have to be ready. And we are fully prepared,” the White House chief said.

According to him, the United States will not leave any real threat unanswered and will act decisively to protect its people. That is why the decision was made to deploy two nuclear submarines.

“The former president of Russia has made a threat, and we are going to protect our people,” Trump emphasized in a comment to reporters.

Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev reacted extremely sharply to US President Donald Trump’s ultimatum to Russia regarding secondary tariffs.

The odious politician assured that every ultimatum of the American leader is a step towards a war between Russia and the United States.

In response , Trump emphasized that Medvedev should watch his words, as he was “entering very dangerous territory.”

What triggered the Kremlin’s reaction

on July 28, Donald Trump made a sharp statement about the prolongation of the war in Ukraine. He announced his intention to significantly shorten the deadline he had previously given Russia for a peace agreement on Ukraine. While previously it was 50 days, Trump said he was giving the Kremlin only 10-12 days.

He explained this decision by the lack of progress in attempts to force Russia to negotiate and harsh criticism of Vladimir Putin. In particular, the American leader said that he was “very disappointed” with the Kremlin’s actions, in particular, the continuation of attacks on Ukraine despite diplomatic efforts.

These words provoked an aggressive response from the Russian side. Medvedev, known for his radical and often bellicose statements, once again used nuclear rhetoric, hinting that Russia is ready for a conflict even with the United States.
