US President Donald Trump has spoken out against Ukraine’s possible strikes on the Russian capital. Speaking to journalists, the politician emphasized that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy “should not strike Moscow,” "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“No, he should not strike Moscow,” the US president replied.
After that, Trump explained his position:
“I want to stop the killing of thousands of people. I want the killing to stop in the Russian-Ukrainian war. I am on this side.”
The day before, the Financial Times reported that on July 4, Donald Trump had a conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during which he asked whether Kyiv could strike at Moscow. According to the sources, the Ukrainian president replied that it was possible, provided that he had the appropriate weapons.
This information caused a resonance in the media. Trump’s campaign spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt explained that the American politician had only asked a question and did not call for attacks or killings.
