Melania Trump supports Ukraine. She tells her husband, Donald Trump, about Russia’s latest attacks on Ukrainian cities. The US president said this during a joint press conference with Secretary of State Mark Rutte, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citing Fox News.

“Conversations (with Putin – ed.) mean nothing. My talks with him (Putin – ed.) are always very pleasant. Very lively conversations. And then on the same night, missiles are flying… I come home, I tell the first lady – you know, I talked to Vladimir (Putin – ed.) today, we had a great conversation. And she said: “Really? They just attacked another city,” Trump said.

He added that Melania then told him about Russia’s shelling of a nursing home. Trump also said that he did not want to “call him (Putin) a murderer, but he is a tough guy.”

The US president also emphasized that the Kremlin leader had repeatedly misled previous American presidents.

“He deceived many people: he deceived Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden. He did not deceive me, but I say: at some point, words lose their meaning. We need actions. We need results,” Trump emphasized.

Donald and Melania got married in January 2005, and this is the man’s third marriage. The couple has a son, Barron William Trump, who became Melania’s only child together and Donald’s fifth offspring.

Melania Trump was born in the city of Novo Mesto, which was then part of Yugoslavia (now Slovenia – ed.). She had a successful career as a model in the past and later became the second first lady of the United States to be born outside the country. The first was Louise Adams. Melania became an American citizen in 2006.
