Approximately half of Ukrainians actively use parcel delivery services within Ukraine, and a third have received international parcels over the past year.
This is evidenced by the results of a study conducted by the Rating Group sociological group on February 6-9, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
In most cases (68%), the cost of the parcel was up to €50, which is the most common option among both wealthier citizens and those with lower incomes.
Among those who received goods from abroad, almost a third (29%) ordered goods that were important for overcoming the consequences of the energy crisis.
In general, the most popular goods received through international mail are clothing and footwear (45%), as well as power banks, batteries, and chargers (26%).
About half of Ukrainians actively use parcel delivery services within Ukraine, i.e., they receive or send parcels at least once every few months.
The vast majority of respondents (82%) do not support the introduction of a 20% VAT on all international parcels.
Most Ukrainians note the importance of international postal parcels during the war (64%), with a quarter considering them critically important.
The vast majority are convinced that the increase in the cost of international parcels could negatively affect volunteer activities and defense (79%).
The survey was conducted using the CATI (computer-assisted telephone interviewing) method among 1,000 respondents aged 18 and older in all controlled regions of Ukraine where Ukrainian mobile communications were available at the time of the survey. The results were weighted using current data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. The sample is representative in terms of age, gender, and type of settlement (margin of error – no more than 3.1% with a confidence level of 0.95).
