Israeli aircraft conducted a strike in the West Bank, killing the leader of the local Hamas cell. This is stated in a message on the IDF’s Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

It is noted that on Thursday, 3 October, the Israeli army struck the Tulkarm area (a city in Palestine, in the West Bank – ed.) and eliminated the terrorist Zahi Yasser Abd al-Razek Ufi, the head of the Hamas terrorist network in the city.

The military reported that Ufi planned and led an attempted car bombing in the Israeli settlement of Ateret on 2 September 2024. The terrorist supplied weapons to a large number of terrorists in the area, and planned and directed a significant number of additional terrorist attacks against communities in Judea and Samaria and the rest of the Israeli frontline. Ufi was planning to carry out a new terrorist attack in the near future.

The Israeli military also noted that Ufi was involved in the planning and execution of numerous significant and extreme terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians in Judea and Samaria, in which a large number of civilians were injured.

“Ufi acted to strengthen the Hamas terrorist network and assist other terrorists in the region in carrying out significant shootings and car bombings,” the statement said.
